Long story short, this is a (much early) birthday gift to

Kanda looked pretty cool on volume 20, so I decided that is what I would draw from...haha (example: [link] or this is what I mostly referred to >>[link])

It all took a process of 3 days- 1 1/2 for pencil, 1/2 for inking and the other day for full coloring/re-inking...throughout, I learned a lot about myself as an artist... and this was just really fun to draw! XD

I think coloring it (I know, I usually hate coloring!) was the most fun...I tried my best to stick true to the cover.

Now I know, it's not perfect! And I know there are probably plenty of errors, but nonetheless I think I could've done worse...and I thought I would, but I didn't, so I'm glad!

XD But if you close both eyes, then it's perfect!

[I'm posting this much early because 1) Not sure where I will be that week and 2) I anticipated finishing much later, but I didn't and 3) I'm too excited to wait! XD]

[I haven't seen D. Gray Man fully and in a long time (only like 2 or 3 episodes- I know, I'm terrible! XD) but is it me, or does Travis Willingham as Kanda sound kind of...off? I mean, I sort of know the circumstances around Kanda, but still, Takahiro Sakurai sounds pretty young as Kanda and I believe that fits... don't get me wrong, I love Travis to death and I don't mind the voice and character, but it's sort of funny to watch this young looking man with the voice of a full grown adult! XD]
